Red moons, misty fields and sibling love. "Surgery" is the atmospheric and emotionally charged debut album from Cat Gold, an alias for David Wikberg who for a decade has worked behind artists such as Thomas Stenström, Shout Out Louds, Mapei, Maja Francis and Jonas Lundqvist - the latter he was also a support act for on tour last autumn.

When things started to fall apart around David Wikberg and everything went quiet, he had time for his own creation.
Nights in front of the piano became a vent that turned into songs that were never really intended for anyone else's ears. But with a voice that cuts like a knife and at the same time embeds in velvet, he now gives us red moons, misty fields and sibling love.
David has been active in Stockholm for ten years, but he grew up on the Swedish west coast and has been working with music ever since he finished high school. From the beginning as a musician but over time as a producer and songwriter for a number of successful artists.
First own album "Surgery", which is released under the name Cat Gold, came about during a time in David's life when everything stopped - in a very concrete sense. Death and mental illness in the family combined with major foot surgery put life on hold. His own sedentary situation made him write song after song, to write himself off.
